Email Marketing & CDP SaaS

Shopify App + scoped non-Shopify GTM integration

Shopify merchants can install FosterFlow and use authorized customer, order, product, and post-install behavior data for profiles, audiences, campaigns, visual flows, and result analysis. A non-Shopify site uses the same current standard monthly software subscription, plus a project implementation that connects agreed onsite events, fields, identity, and consent signals through GTM; that implementation carries a separate workload-assessed fee. Any API, file, or other path for customer, order, and product master data is confirmed in the assessment and SOW.

Product status

The same current standard monthly subscription applies to Shopify and non-Shopify. Shopify enters through the App Store. A non-Shopify site first assesses GTM, dataLayer, consent, data sources, and test environments before implementation scope and acceptance are confirmed.

Who it is for

Commerce teams that want to install FosterFlow directly on Shopify or assess a reviewable GTM integration path for a non-Shopify site.

Decision this page supports

Confirm the shared software-subscription standard and the additional non-Shopify implementation, then continue to the relevant purchase, assessment, or product page.

Questions covered

  • Shopify email marketing software
  • CDP for a non-Shopify store
  • GTM customer-data integration
  • email automation flow

01

Choose the integration path that matches the site

Shopify uses app authorization. A non-Shopify site uses an assessed GTM / dataLayer project for the agreed onsite signals.

  • Install through Shopify and authorize the customer, order, product, and post-install behavior data supported by the current product.
  • For a non-Shopify site, review the current Web GTM, dataLayer, event fields, identity, and consent signals before implementing SOW-scoped onsite events.
  • If customer, order, or product master data needs an API, file, or other path, confirm it separately in the assessment and SOW.
  • Historical backfill is not included by default; only data written into scope and accepted with samples becomes a deliverable.

02

Connect audiences, campaigns, and flows

Clarify who can be contacted and why someone belongs to an audience before choosing a one-time send or automated path.

  • Configure dynamic and static audiences with reviewable conditions and membership changes.
  • Create email campaigns and review delivery and result signals.
  • Use a visual flow builder for triggers, decisions, and email steps.
  • Adjust audience rules, messages, and paths using real operating results.

03

Extend to advertising audiences when eligible

Audience sync is conditional, not a default guarantee. Platform and data requirements come first.

  • Complete the corresponding Google or Meta OAuth authorization.
  • Confirm advertising or business-account eligibility for audience features.
  • Use only audiences with applicable consent and matchable identifiers.
  • Review sync outcomes against platform policy, minimum-size, and processing requirements.

The same current standard monthly subscription applies to Shopify and non-Shopify

The current FosterFlow plan governs. The Shopify App Store is the direct purchase route today; this page does not copy or cache a plan amount that may change.

Non-Shopify integration

One-Time Implementation Fee based on assessed workload

We assess the current GTM / dataLayer, events and fields, consent, data sources, testing, and acceptance. Accepted prior work is reused and only the incremental gap is quoted.

Getting started

Shopify completes app installation and authorization. A non-Shopify project completes the SOW-scoped GTM implementation, testing, and acceptance. Neither path includes three human-written monthly reports.

What you need

Shopify requires app-installation and store permissions. A non-Shopify assessment needs the site architecture, current GTM / dataLayer, data sources, consent mechanism, and test environments.

  • A Shopify administrator, or owners for the non-Shopify site, GTM, and release process.
  • The site platform and architecture, test and production environments, current GTM container, dataLayer, and agreed event list.
  • Current sources and available integration methods for customer, order, and product master data, plus any historical-scope requirement.
  • Sending identity, domain, consent, and reachability rules; add the relevant account authorization when advertising audiences are needed.

Objects available in the product

  • Shopify product installation, or non-Shopify GTM event and field mapping, testing, and handover.
  • Customer profiles, reachability states, and audience workspace for the agreed signals received by FosterFlow.
  • Email campaigns, visual flows, and result analysis.
  • Master or historical data only when written into the SOW; eligible Google / Meta audience sync when requirements are met.

Suggested checks

  • Authorized Shopify data or the agreed non-Shopify events and fields can be checked in test and production samples.
  • Event name, time, identity or session, consent, item, and transaction fields meet the SOW's completeness criteria, with exceptions documented.
  • Audience rules, membership, and reachability match expectations, and a test campaign or flow leaves a reviewable result.
  • Master data, historical backfill, Server GTM, or third-party audience sync is accepted separately when included in writing.

Software and consulting are separate

The subscription does not include three human-written monthly reports

For audience operating direction or a three-month human review of email and automation flows, see the two consulting services in this Engage stage.

Capability boundaries

Non-Shopify is a scoped implementation path, not a universal native connector

  • Shopify is the direct purchase and installation path. Non-Shopify uses SOW-scoped GTM events and fields; this is not a plug-and-play WooCommerce, custom-database, or universal platform connector.
  • GTM carries the agreed onsite events, fields, identity, and consent signals. API, file, or other paths for customer, order, and product master data are confirmed separately, and historical backfill is not included by default.
  • The non-Shopify path on this page connects agreed site signals to FosterFlow. A complete GA4, advertising-destination, or warehouse measurement implementation belongs in the written GTM Setup scope and is not implicitly duplicated here.
  • If Server GTM is needed, hosting, domain, cloud resources, traffic, logs, retention, operations, and exit terms are confirmed separately. A one-time implementation does not include indefinite hosting.
  • Shopify and non-Shopify use the same current standard monthly subscription. The non-Shopify One-Time Implementation Fee covers only the SOW-scoped integration; third-party software / APIs, cloud resources, ongoing operations, and extra website engineering are outside the default implementation scope.
  • This page does not claim complete SMS, push, or WhatsApp capability, nor unverified internal plans such as Dry Run or AOST.
  • Google / Meta audience sync is constrained by OAuth, consent, matchable identifiers, account eligibility, minimum size, and platform policy.
  • The product and any related recommendations do not guarantee fixed revenue, conversion, open-rate, advertising, or other performance outcomes.

Frequently asked questions

Where do Shopify and non-Shopify teams start?

Both store types use the same current standard monthly subscription. Shopify sees the current plan and installs through the App Store. A non-Shopify site requests a GTM assessment before we confirm events, data sources, consent, testing, and the additional one-time implementation scope. The FosterFlow website explains the product.

How is the non-Shopify implementation fee determined?

We assess the site architecture, current GTM / dataLayer maturity, event and field scope, identity and consent signals, master-data paths, test environments, and acceptance workload. This page does not set one universal amount.

Does the One-Time Implementation Fee include the software subscription?

No. Shopify and non-Shopify both pay the same current standard FosterFlow monthly subscription. The One-Time Implementation Fee covers only the SOW-scoped non-Shopify GTM / dataLayer integration, testing, and handover. Third-party / API, cloud, ongoing operations, and out-of-scope site work are separate.

Will GTM migrate every historical customer, order, and product?

No. GTM carries agreed onsite events, fields, identity, and consent signals. If customer, order, or product master data is needed, the assessment and SOW confirm the API, file, or other path. Historical backfill is not included by default.

Do Shopify and non-Shopify use the same software-subscription standard?

Yes. Both use the current standard FosterFlow monthly subscription. The current purchase route governs the plan; this page does not copy or cache an amount that may change. Non-Shopify adds only the assessed one-time integration fee.

Does installation automatically include three human reports?

No. Software and consulting are separate. The three monthly reports belong to the scoped Customer Audience Analysis or Email Marketing & Automation Consulting services.

Will every Google and Meta audience sync successfully?

No outcome can be promised in advance. OAuth, consent, matchable identifiers, account eligibility, minimum size, and each platform's policies apply, and the platform determines final processing status.
